A consortium for directors and business leaders is now present in every major city around the world, with the ultimate purpose of advancing the highest standards and best practices in directorship. Formed in 2012, the Jordanian House for Corporate Governance (JIoD) is proudly the only entity in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan focused on only this mission.
Unified in our mission to create awareness of good governance and to advance its practice and implementation in corporate leadership, our vision is to be the guiding body for corporate leaders in Jordan to attain and uphold the highest level of ethical values and governance.
JIoD spreads the culture of corporate governance and its best practices through various value-added services. It offers comprehensive capacity building courses that address the developmental needs for both emerging and veteran business leaders. Awareness programs are held to promote the theory and application of governance principles, while research studies are conducted to provide the latest insights on all matters concerning corporate leadership. Alongside all of that, JIoD provides advise to organizations that are interested in developing the most up-to-date practices.
Through these activities, the JIoD improves the effectiveness of board directors which in turn significantly reduces the risks associated with bad management and equivocal policies, engenders increased foreign investment, and ultimately enhances the competitive edge of corporate entities.
